WECAND was founded in Taiwan.
September 1992
Obtained a single contract of self-drilling rock bolts worth over NTD 240 million (USD 7.5 m).
Introduced new products and technologies for the restoration of San-Yi railway tunnel which suffered extensive damage during the 921 Earthquake in central Taiwan.
Relocated to newly purchased office space in Taipei.
Obtained contracts of material offer from Japanese construction companies for tunnel pre-support materials, various rock bolts and ground water cutting / consolidation systems in the Taiwan high-speed railway project, which laid the foundation for our future technological leaps.
Shifted the business model from trading and project management services to manufacturing of tunneling materials.
Obtained contracts from Consortium Japonais Pour l'Autoroute Algérienne (COJAAL) of tunneling materials for East-West freeway link project in northern Algeria till 2016.
Acquired the contract of umbrella pipe roof systems and consolidation injection materials from Kajima Corporation which was the first breakthrough by WECAND products into the Japanese market.
Established WECAND Japan office named ATC Co., Ltd Japan in Aichi Prefecture.
Started the construction of new office building and factory in Taoyuan, Taiwan.
Increased company capital
