Mechanical Expansion Shell

In addition to the use of chemical anchoring material to obtain the pre-stressing of rock bolt, the mechanical expansion shell with easier installation and high performance of anchor loading is also one of the bolting solutions on site. In particular, if water mergers after bore holing of rock bolt, an expansion shell can be attached onto a full-threaded rock bolt, which is then placed at the required depth of borehole and rotated by a drill machine or hand-held hammer in order to obtain immediate loading capacity for anchoring.

Specification

◎Expansion shells with O.D. 46mm and length at 120mm
◎Suitable borehole diameter is between 48mm and 58mm
◎Loading capacity above 120kN after expansion (in rock geology with 35Mpa strength)
Post grouting of mortar is highly recommended for extending the durability of the rock bolt.
