TITANEX Swell Friction Bolt

The swell friction bolt is made from a folded steel pipe with high elongation and swelled by high pressure water for returning the bolt to its original profile. This allows the bolt to come into contact with the borehole surface tightly in order to gain the friction force required to hold the surrounding rock. The high pressure water pump for installation can be equipped with pneumatic, electric or hydraulic pumps. In most cases, TITANEX bolt is designed for temporary support for 2-3 years. So no special surface treatment is required. However, when a longer application period is required, the Zinc – Aluminate - Magnum galvanized steel pipe is chosen because of its anti-rust capability comparable to that of stainless steel at a lower cost.
