Drainage Rib Membrane (Rib Drain)

In certain cases, water may still drip at the water-ingress section of the tunnel even after water cutting by resin injection. If water leakage worsens, it will significantly have an impact on the tunnel excavation progress. On most sites, canvas sheets are commonly used with non-woven geotextile in the attempt to drain water into ditches on both sides. However, this approach has been considered ineffective in our experiences. Hence, the rib drain is designed as a rib membrane which is easier to install on site, enabling smooth water drainage.

Features

◎ Rib-shaped membrane prevents drainage from being blocked by adhered limes from leaking water.
◎ The mono design with rubber ear strips at both sides allows the device to be installed on site simply with nails.
◎ The mono drain features drainage lines at one-meter intervals.
◎ Its negligible thickness does not interfere with the installation of water proof membrane afterwards.

Specification

◎ Mono drain width at 600mm (rib width at 300mm and height at 6mm)
◎ Compressive deformation test under 75N/mm2 loading ≤ 10%
◎ Special models of mono drain for bench, inverter or longitudinal direction drainage are available upon request.
